Dab a clean folded cloth with paint remover.
Accidentally used floor paint on walls. Allow the walls to dry completely. Correct a spot on a popcorn ceiling using a clean dry. Floor paint is usually more durable than regular wall paint and it is also more expensive. Interior wall paints also include additives that minimize spatter during application with a brush or roller.
This is far more likely when using an electric paint sprayer as it is released into the area as a mist rather than applied directly to the wall. For paint that dries and still has a persistent smell try washing the walls with a mixture of 1 part bleach to 10 parts water then rinse with plain water and a clean sponge. It does make a difference. But if you do it before the paint dries completely you ll mess up the paint surrounding the spot.
Indoor painted walls are seen much more closely than exterior siding so interior paints are formulated with resins and additives that produce a smooth finish that holds up to regular dusting or scrubbing. Press down on the paint spot firmly for 10 seconds then wipe the spot in one direction. Floor paint is most usually oil based and will be of a gloss or high gloss finish.
